Smurf and Wasp
Light and fast when on the plane, but feeling their age. When they are properly “up” they are exhilarating, they jump up a foot and take off – spray everywhere!
Two 420s (both Rondar build – mould 3)
Light and fast when on the plane, but feeling their age. When they are properly “up” they are exhilarating, they jump up a foot and take off – spray everywhere! They are both equipped with trapeze gear and symmetric spinnakers. The little sybling of the Olympic class 470, designed as a stable stepping stone up to a 470 these boats are far more stable than Vision and easily held with a bit of hiking.
Lots of room for three for cruising and training (two for racing ideally) they are a rewarding and responsive sail for new comers and have all the options for the more experienced (eg out on the wire with the kite up or traveller trim). Great fun solo in lighter winds. The blue one is “Smurf” and the yellow one is “Wasp”. Original sail numbers 35265 and 41047 respectively.
